I am really disgusted with all of the skinny shaming about the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. No one is telling you that something is wrong with your body and nor should you tell someone else that something is wrong with them. It’s disappointing that people are so judgmental over things that don’t even matter or effect them. Saying someone is ‘too skinny’ or ‘unnaturally thin’ or even ‘disgustingly frail’ is just as bad as saying that someone is ‘too fat’. Putting people of any size, color, race, gender, etc down is ignorant and unnecessary. Words are incredibly hurtful and I think people tend to forget this sometimes. I’ve been picked on and name called since I can remember for being skinny, and even when people think that they’re just joking, hurtful words are still hurtful. Just think about the words you want to say and how they’ll effect someone. Maybe try saying something kind instead of putting people down, it could make all the difference.
PREACH.
Miriam Linky: Holy Bejeesus, tell me you don’t use my Jergen’s to whack it.
Zack Brown: No, you know what I do? I light a bunch of candles, and I sprawl out on my sheets, and I listen to Sting. No, I’m a guy. You give me two Popsicle sticks and a rubber band and I’ll find a way to fuck it, like a filthy MacGyver!” —
